Texako is a rapper from New Jersey who is taking over the next generation of rap. Texako started posting music to his SoundCloud 6 years ago and has been consistently putting out music ever since.

Texako’s first release “LIKEYOU3”, produced by Amazement, introduced listeners to a new sound of rap that was not yet popular. His melodic approach to delivering his lyrics paired with the semi-plugg type beat was a nice take on what rap could sound like. It’s fair to say, Texako is a pioneer in this now-popularized sub-genre of rap. 

In 2020, Texako released his song “Fake Kickin” produced by Mexikodro and it blew up. There is no way to categorize the sound he was putting out. Some may say it falls into plugg&b, while  others would call his song ambient trap. In any case, Texako was making music that was turning  heads. 

Texako continued to release music as time went on. Collaborating with artists like Cory Lingo, Lil Dude, Ron$oCold, and SlimeSito, Texako was on his track to being an artist that was next up. That same year, Texako released his song “Cell Phone”. It is one of his most popular songs to date. 

In 2021, Texako put out a song that would push him to the forefront of the rap scene. He released his single “Dreaming of” featuring BabySantana and it took off. The song currently has over 8.6 million streams on Spotify alone.

Texako gave fans more music than they could’ve come to expect in 2022. He released 3 albums, 15 singles and 3 EPs. With his ability to consistently put out mass amounts of quality music, fans are eagerly waiting to see what he has in store for 2023.
