Hailing from Duanesburg, New York, Souly Had has emerged as a popular new voice in the alternative R&B genre. Souly Had spent time developing his sound and promoting his music on social media before he released his debut single "Déjà Vu," which quickly gained thousands of streams in its first few hours. The initial success of the song prompted Souly Had to drop out of school and concentrate on his music career.

Despite growing up in a small town, Souly Had found unique ways to develop and share his music. As revealed through an interview with ASBO, Souly’s first attempt to promote his music was selling CDs of beats he made on his iphone at his school. From the onset of his career, he demonstrated a dedication to get his music out in the world.    

Souly Had initially broke into the music scene by uploading early tracks to Soundcloud and showcasing his process on Twitter. Fans were drawn in by his distinctive approach to forming lyrics, beats, and melodies. When artist Mike Corey retweeted Souly Had’s debut single "Déjà Vu”, it gained thousands of streams overnight. 

In 2019, Souly Had released his most popular track “Crush”. This song exudes an undeniable feel-good aura that weaves together memorable lyrics, a soulful vocal performance, and an addicting melody that lingers long after the first listen. It is no wonder why this track has amassed over 75,000,000 streams on Spotify alone.

Souley Had began the year strong with his release of single “doomed”. The soulful guitar melody, warm vocals, and relatable lyricism combine to create the perfect track for the transition from winter to spring. We’re excited to see what Souly has in store for the rest of 2023!
