RUSSELL! is a Filipino-Canadian artist who has been releasing music for over a decade. Early fans knew him as the rapper D-Pryde, who gained recognition during the early days of YouTube for his party bangers. However, his music underwent a significant transformation after his mother passed away when he was 18. Maturing quickly, he found himself no longer resonating with his previous music and decided to rebrand himself as RUSSELL!. 

Today, RUSSELL!’s music falls into the R&B category, heavily inspired by his mother. He aims to create songs he imagines his mom would have played while getting ready for work. This shift has made his music feel more authentic and true to his heart. 

One of RUSSELL!’s most beloved songs is “SCARLETT’S WEEKEND,” released in 2020. This intimate track invites listeners on a journey through a romantic rendezvous, showcasing his soulful vocals and raw emotions. Simple yet beautiful, the under two-minute track leaves you yearning for more.
