Artist Spotlight

Ruby Waters is a singer/songwriter from a small town in Ontario, Canada. Her parents were both musicians, so music has been a part of her life since she was just four years old.

Ruby Waters is known for her effortless vocals and raw emotions that shine through in her music. Many of her popular songs feature single instrumentals, capturing her signature sound. Artists like Amy Winehouse and Janis Joplin inspire her carefree approach to music. She stays true to herself and creates music that feels authentic.

In 2022, Ruby Waters was nominated for Best Alternative Artist at the JUNO Awards following the release of her second album, “If It Comes Down To It.” Being nominated for a JUNO Award as an independent artist is a major achievement, marking a significant milestone in her career.

Her latest single, “Sour Patch,” is an upbeat, infectious track that has landed her on Spotify’s New Music Friday playlists for the US and Canada. She is also featured on the cover of Spotify’s Rock Now.

Ruby Waters is gearing up to release her highly anticipated album, “What’s the Point,” later this month. Recorded in a cozy cabin, the album dives into themes like acceptance, love, and the unpredictability of life. Ruby Waters embraces the ups and downs, reminding us that it’s okay not to have all the answers about life’s meaning. Her album release show is on May 30th at the Danforth Music Hall in Toronto.
