From the bustling music scene of Toronto, Ontario, New West has emerged as a dynamic force. Known for their nostalgic yet contemporary vibe, New West was crowned the Breakthrough Group of the Year at the Juno Awards in 2024, marking a significant milestone in their rapidly ascending career. 

Formed in 2017, the collective is comprised of four versatile musicians: Noel West, Kala Wita, Ben Key, and Vella. Their journey began with separate studio sessions orchestrated by Noel, eventually bringing all members together and sparking an immediate chemistry. Initially known as The .wav, they rebranded as New West in 2018, signaling their readiness to make a significant impact on the Toronto music landscape.

New West’s music is a rich amalgamation of styles, drawing from the timeless allure of Oasis, Coldplay, The Rolling Stones, and The Beatles, while also embracing the innovative sounds of Toronto's own The Weeknd and Daniel Caesar.
