Virginia rapper and lyricist Mynameisntjmack has carved out a lane of his own in the underground rap scene that listeners can not get enough of. With a knack for building an immersive world around his music and a distinctive genre bending sound, it is no surprise his loyal fanbase is growing quickly. 

In 2022, Jmack dropped his single “BUNKER/PREROLL” with Tommy Richman which brought his career to new heights. This genre-bending track further established Jmack as a rapper with a clear artistic vision that connects wide-audience. Today this song has garnered about 4M streams on Spotify alone. The same year he dropped his album “THE LORD OF SOUNDS AND LESSER THINGS”, and singles “NEWBRASSKNUCKLES” and “WHOUFOOLIN”. Each of these projects carried Jmack’s distinctive sound and original approach to rap. 

2023 is set to be Jmack’s biggest year yet given the caliber of releases he’s been putting out. He started 2023 strong with the release of singles “walk around”, “LEAK” and “transport”, leading up to his EP “BOOKMARK”. The wide variety of textures and flavors in this EP bring the listener on a journey through Jmack’s artistic world and reveal his close inner thoughts. 

One of the standout tracks from the EP is "Leak". This confessional song by mynameisntjmack delves into his personal struggles with addiction and the difficulty of being forgiven. Produced by Gutty, John Wehmeyer, lim0, and Zach Niess, the track features layered production with swelling keys, elegant flutes, and an infectious bass-line. The song also includes a beat switch midway through, transitioning to a more laid-back, nostalgic sound with mynameisntjmack easing back on his delivery. According to the artist, the song is his way of dealing with the aftermath of stopping taking Xanax and failing to become truly sober both in body and mind.
