Los Angeles based singer-songwriter Julia Cooper is a multi-talented artist who has taken the music world by storm. From a young age, it was evident that she had a special gift for singing, and despite putting a lot of effort into honing her skills, Julia believes that her voice is not just a reflection of her hard work, but a gift. In addition to her singing talent, Julia is also a talented guitar player and has participated in musical theater, showcasing her effortless ability to light up any stage she steps on.

Music runs in Julia's family, as her grandfather was a singer in his younger days and was actually the person who introduced her to music. When she was a kid, her grandfather taught her little songs, and it is clear that his influence is still with her today. Unfortunately, her grandfather passed away when she was young, but she carries on his legacy through consistent pursuit of artistry. 

Julia began to make a name for herself from the second she took the stage for the Voice. Her rendition of “Alaska” caught the attention of three judges, including John Legend whose team she eventually joined.This  soulful cover  has amassed over 4 million streams on Spotify alone.

Julia continues to make waves in the music industry as a solo artist. In January, Cooper released her debut EP “SWEET N SOUR”. This EP not only showcases her beautiful vocals but also her talent as a songwriter. With dreamy undertones and catchy lyricism, the EP creates a sugary world for the listener to dip into, the true embodiment of ear candy. We’re not alone in our love for Julia’s sugaried sound for it has landed her multiple spotify editorial playlists and was premiered on the Zane Lowe show.
