Artist Spotlight: Dogpark
Dogpark is the newest up-and-coming indie group based out of NYC. The band consists of five 20-something-year-old guys, who met during their years together at the University of Richmond. These formative years taught the band how to work with one another, and their strong connection is evident at their live shows.
Dogpark started off playing covers of popular songs at college parties and on-campus venues. Last year, they began their TikTok journey, which helped them reach people beyond the Virginia area. Their raw, unedited clips of both covers and original songs got people hooked, and they were quickly booked up with shows at colleges all over the U.S. They now have over 270,000 followers on the app, with several videos reaching millions of viewers.
Dogpark has that nostalgic, feel-good vibe that attracts audiences of all ages. Every member brings something unique to the table, and together they are a powerhouse. While TikTok has helped them get discovered by a ton of fans, they are well-known for their live performances and have been selling out shows across the country.
Their EP, “Breaking in Brooklyn,” came out at the beginning of this year, and they have a new album in the works. You can listen to “Breaking in Brooklyn,” here: https://too.fm/xyxaexl
