Artist Spotlight

DLU Kemp, also known as Skylar Kemper, is a rising rapper and hip-hop recording artist who has been gaining popularity in the hip-hop scene. Hailing from a small town in Arkansas with a sparse population of 2,000, DLU Kemp managed to make a name for himself. He is known for his unique vocals and innovative hip-hop sound, which has earned him a loyal fanbase.

One of the things that sets Kemp apart from other musicians is his ability to write relatable and gritty lyrics that resonate with his fans. He often draws inspiration from his own personal experiences, making his music feel genuine. His songs often contain experiences of trying to make it and growing up in a small town before he developed his fanbase.

Kemp has been grinding since 2015 when he dropped out of high school and moved to Memphis to pursue his music career. He began drooping songs like “Improve Freestyle, “Kemp Day”, “Boyz N Da Woodz”, and “Phases”. It was in 2021 when his career started reaching new heights. He released his single “This Is Why I’m Hot” and it blew up. The song currently has over 15 million streams on Spotify alone and gained traction on Tik-Tok where it inspired over 500,000 videos. He used this attention to build connections with his fans and steer them towards his other infectious tracks like “Outta Town”, “Since 14”, and “Cut em Out”.
